Fourth of July

Well this is one of the many years i have spent away from chicago for fourth of july.
my 2nd time out of the country for it.....

last night at about midnight we all sat down in the boys flat and watched Independence Day - i had never seen it- (and i slept through parts of it last night) but it was fun. and blake said the pledge of allegiance at midnight - it was funny.


soo ive been in the UK for a long time (almost 2 months)

and in tribute to America i decided to list of some of the things i miss:

watermelon
grilling
corn on the cob

the beach (MICHIGAN!)
bluberry muffins

baseball games
the pool
the beach
reading a book on the beach
fresh berries
popsicles

drumsticks (ice cream)
summer night bonfires on the beach
summer movies (movies cost $16 dollars here... needless to say- we dont go)

fireworks
pizza on the beach
my michigan house
popcorn.

water balloon fights.
apple pie.

columbia

sitting out on the quad

wandering around downtown columbia
cherry hill pool

zeta
having a summer VACATION rather than working.
4th of July parades
the ability to afford living.

my friends. and my family (they are coming to see me soon!)
my new puppy baci - ive never met her
i really just miss lazy summer days and fun summer nights.
and summer food. and the beach.
thank you America for great summers.

im wearing a redic combo of clothes today to make sure i am in red, white and blue.
after work i think we are all meeting at Texas Embassy bar/grill for the evening.
